Mikayle's Kindergarten Recital

Mikayle was so excited for her kindergarten recital!! She got to wear a tiara which was a blessing, because they didn't want the girls wearing dresses, they had to wear pants or their school uniforms!! So she was OK with the pants as long as she had a princess crown!! She looked so big up there singing her songs with the others!! Last year for her preschool recital, she didn't even look up at us, let alone sing!! So she's coming along pretty well. I know that sounds surprising since she is the one you can't get to be quiet at home, maybe we should have crowds here more often! However, according to her teacher she likes to talk a lot and has been getting in trouble lately!! Oh my, I think I've got my work cut out for me!!

Jessica's 9th Birthday

My first born just turned 9 years old a few weeks ago. I can't believe she has grown so much, time has gone by so fast!! I was talking to a friend and she just had to remind me that we are at the half way mark before our girls will be off to college!! If you know me at all, you know that those were tear makin' words! I can't help it!! I am enjoying every minute I have with Jessica and I am so proud of the person she's becoming, however, I know I can never turn back time and change mistakes I've made. Then I realized, that is what the spice of life is. We all have to make mistakes, and believe me (I've made plenty) to make a wonderful life. So I know how fast these first 9 years have been, now it's time to really try to slow down and enjoy her every second I can for the next 9.

Ben Loves Gymnastics!

Ben goes to gymnastics on Wednesday mornings, and he loves it!! It's really neat because he knows which day is Wednesday, and he knows which clothes to put on! He calls them his gymnastics pants!!! He is really starting to get a lot more interest in everything they do. His favorite, though, is jumping on the trampoline! He would do that all day long!! His sisters did this when they were younger and I firmly believe it helps develop their physical abilities faster! He has lots of friends there and it is definitely fun Mommy and Ben time when we go!! Plus Mommy gets to have more Mommy talking to other mommies time!!! I know this is just the beginning of all the different sports he'll be in, starting next year he can start basketball and t-ball! Man, my baby is growing up way too fast!! But he'll always be my baby!!

A Beautiful Day

I love beautiful days in the winter when the kids are able to go outside and let loose and I can get a break from the frigid cold and a preview of my favorite time of year!! The kids have had plenty of opportunity to play on their new toys they got for Christmas and spend time with their neighbor friends! Spring is absolutely my favorite time of year, and we are getting really close, I can't wait! I'm ready for Mike to make our front landscape actually look like a front landscape, and I can get my periennials planted! And, taking those nice evening walks with my family or friends around our neighborhood! Come on Spring!!!!
